Johannesburg – The Post Office has asked government for an R8-billion bailout.
A few years ago the Post Office was awarded R2.9 billion which was used to settle loans and pay suppliers.

The CEO said it will use the funds to pay its historical debt and for its turnaround plan.

“The reason what we want to use the money for is primarily set the Post Office on a path to sustain itself even though we have a lot of historical debt,” Nomkhitha Mona said.
