Ramaphosa’s Leadership: ATM returns to court for secret vote

Johannesburg – The first motion of no confidence in President Cyril Ramaphosa’s leadership, once again, hangs in the balance.

The African Transformation Movement, which called for the debate, is back in the High Court in the Western Cape insist on a secret vote.

Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula said she does not believe a closed ballot is necessary or in the interest of democracy.

This motion, as well as another in the Cabinet, is due to be debated on Wednesday.
