Volkswagen (VW) says a modernisation plan is to result in 4,000 job losses
The German carmaker said a €4bn (£3.5bn) drive for digitalisation over the next three and a half years would see non-production roles hit though it did not foresee any compulsory redundancies.
At the same time, the company said, 2,000 roles would be created to support the programme.
