The Former National Treasury Director General Lungisa Fuzile will continue his testimony at the state capture inquiry on Thursday.
Fuzile said he was told he would get a Gupta minister on the night that Nhlanhla Nene was removed.
He testified that the minister of Public Enterprises – Pravin Gordhan asked him to stay longer when he returned as the minister.
He gave an account about the reasons he left the National Treasury.
Fuzile also shared some of the pressures the department faced such as instructions on on how to allocate money in the national budget.
Gordhan completed his testimony on Wednesday, he had testified on Monday and Tuesday as well.
He had to defend his daughter who has been accused by the EFF of securing business from the state.
